On Tuesday, December 25th, 2018, Retal Urban Development Company inaugurated the Nesaj Town project in Dammam in the Eastern Province. The inauguration ceremony was held at the project site in the honorable presence of His Excellency the Minister of Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Alhoqail, who was received by Retal General Manager Eng. Abdullah bin Faisal Albraikan, as well as the deputy General Manager and the directors of all engineering and technical companies involved in the project’s design, implementation, and management
This project is the first of many to be completed as part of the cooperation agreement between Retal and the Ministry of Housing aiming to deliver some 700 housing units of various models and designs. With land areas ranging from 190 to 300 square meters and total construction areas ranging from 250 to 400 square meters per unit, the project is the optimal solution for those seeking the perfect housing. With three different models (Town House, Corner Town House, and independent villa) overlooking the wide and welcoming streets, the project offers integrated services to ensure the comfort of residents, from mosques and schools, to commercial and social complexes, to parks and vibrant gardens.
Located on the Riyadh Highway in one of the most promising locations in Dammam, Nesaj Town is set to become the modern hub of the city. Besides overlooking main roads such as the Riyadh Highway, the project is surrounded by many vital centers, such as the Dammam Commercial Complex and King Fahd Airport.
Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony that marked the official opening of Nesaj Town, the Minister toured the site to learn about the project’s implementation mechanism and designs in model villas, two of which have been completed and are being inaugurated today, less than six months after site delivery and launch. These two fully furnished model villas aim at giving customers a full picture of the shape and size of their housing unit. Retal has also established a sales center and showroom to showcase the models of housing units. During his tour, the Minister was given a detailed explanation about the project and its models. He also met representatives of finance companies, banks, and representatives of the Ministry who will be available to serve clients from Saturday to Thursday, from 2 pm until 9 pm. Afterwards, the Minister visited the two model villas and walked around the housing units while getting briefed by the company’s management about the efforts made to ensure the success of the project and the arrangements made by the engineering team to ensure delivery as planned. His Excellency expressed his appreciation for all the efforts exerted and commended the optimal utilization of spaces and the integration of engineering, administrative, and marketing services provided to customers.
With its villas, services, and environment that suit the needs and capabilities of citizens and give them the opportunity to own a decent home, Nesaj Town is capable of providing job opportunities for Saudi talent, in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. Through this project, which is part of a housing program that aims to provide optimal housing for Saudi citizens, Retal Urban Development Company is keen to contribute to the improvement of the urban landscape in the Kingdom.
In a press statement, the General Manager of Retal said the Minister’s visit to the Eastern Province in general and his humbling and dignified visit to Nesaj Town is a tribute to all the staff working on the project, be they from the company or the Ministry. He added that the visit of His Excellency the Minister is another example of the continued support provided by the Kingdom’s wise leadership to the private sector in order to improve the level of services provided to Saudi citizens and provide appropriate housing through highly qualified national companies, as well as attract international engineering and design expertise and save costs using modern building technologies and alternative materials.
Asked about the significance of this project to him, Albraikan said that as a citizen and an individual in the community, he considers the project a huge leap in housing projects in the Kingdom, enjoying an unrivaled high-level interest in the delivery of integrated projects while providing all funding facilities to prospective homeowners and providing free after-sales maintenance services for a duration of one year, to reinforce confidence in Retal’s offerings.
For Retal, Nesaj Town symbolizes unique and high-quality work aimed at building and providing a balanced and sustainable housing environment. In addition, through its companies working on the project, Retal takes interest in all project aspects, from design to operation and maintenance, to ensure a joint success story between the company and the Ministry.

Souvenir photos were taken with His Excellency the Minister and the engineering and development teams in the open space in front of the model villas. His Excellency thanked all the workers on the site for their efforts and applauded the beautiful and modern villa designs.
At the end of the tour, Retal clients who put their trust in the project and booked their units presented an honor shield to the Minister in appreciation of his visit.
