Khaled Al-Zaila’i, the former international player, was looking forward to resuming his football career. He wished, among a group of athletes and media professionals, who attended the occasion of his new home, a fast recovery and return, next year, to the stadiums, stressing his determination to overcome the disease.
The Retal Urban Development Company had given him a free villa, in Al Narjis district, north of Riyadh, as a support.
Eng. Abdullah Al-Braikan, CEO of the company, noted “the role of the media in publicizing Al-Zaila’i’s condition, and everyone should race towards it.”
He stressed, “Khaled gave a lot to Saudi football, and we were enjoying his techniques, applauding him, and when he needed us, we had to stand by him, and not abandon him.”
Al-Zaila’i, 33 years old, had bought, at the beginning of this year, a house in Abha, and gifted it to his mother, months before he contracted the disease, which disrupted his career, his main source of income, which prompted “Retal” to donate a house to him.
